THE PUBLICATION

Cookie Policy

Reading comes first. Optional reading-position storage stays off until you choose it.

Notice prepared October 15, 2026. Publisher: Tom Wagner. Questions: wagnertom@gmail.com.

Your choices

Use Cookie settings at any time to accept all supplied optional features, reject non-essential storage, or choose whether this device remembers your article position. Rejecting does not prevent reading, search, navigation or the local Opportunity Comparison Desk. The preference dialog can be dismissed without granting optional consent.

Consent record

The first-party cookie sfrv_privacy_v1 stores the version, consent timestamp and whether optional reading-position storage is enabled. Its lifetime is up to 180 days, limited to this site’s path. It records a choice, not an advertising profile. If cookies are blocked, the supplied optional storage is not enabled and a notice explains that the choice was not saved.

Optional article position

When you explicitly enable it, sfrv_reading_v1 in local storage contains article paths, position ratios and timestamps in this browser. It keeps at most thirty records and removes expired records after up to 180 days when the feature runs. It does not send reading events to the publisher or an analytics provider. If local storage is blocked, the feature fails safely and explains the limitation.

Withdrawal and removal

Rejecting optional features or turning the reading option off removes the supplied saved reading record where browser access permits. It does not erase email correspondence, server logs or records held by other services. You can also remove this site’s cookies and local storage through your browser’s site-data controls. Removing consent may cause the choice notice to appear again.

The comparison desk and search

The desk uses only current page memory. It creates no cookie or saved record, sends no request and does not alter the address. Browser-restored form values are controlled by the browser. Site search sends a normal request to the website; do not use it for private information.

Necessary and added technology

WordPress administrator sign-in and hosting or security services may use separate necessary technology. Web requests pass through the hosting and security services selected by the publisher. This package does not identify or independently verify the live host, CDN, service providers or processing locations. Contact the publisher for the configuration that applies to this website. The supplied package includes no analytics, advertising, external video embeds or remote-font requests. These controls do not automatically block technology added through other plugins, themes or hosting services. The publisher must review additions before using them.

Without JavaScript

The optional reading feature does not operate when JavaScript is off. Articles, source links and the desk’s complete example remain available. Cookie settings links to this policy, and previously saved browser data can be removed through browser site-data settings. For broader information, read the Privacy Policy.
